Food Bank
Eligibility
Carol’s Cupboard serves individuals and families who meet eligibility criteria, including:
- Jewish households in Hamilton and surrounding areas
- Individuals and families living in Dundas
All clients must demonstrate a need for food bank support.
Food bank visits are by appointment only.

Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am – 1:30 pm
What We Offer
Each month, eligible clients receive a supply of nutritious, kosher food through our confidential, appointment-based grocery model. Items include:
- Fresh produce
- Non-perishable items
- Kosher meat
- Personal hygiene and menstrual products
- Cleaning supplies
For individuals who are unable to visit in person because of a disability or other circumstances, we provide home delivery.

Our History
As the only kosher food bank west of Toronto, Carol’s Cupboard, Hamilton’s Kosher Food Bank, has been supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity for more than 30 years.
Renamed in 2018 in memory of Carol Krames z”l, former Executive Director of Jewish Family Services and co-founder of the food bank, the program continues her legacy of compassion and community care.
