WHAT WE DO
Hamilton Jewish Family Services provides a full range of social services to meet the demands of the changing needs of our local Jewish Community.
CASEWORK
Are you facing a crisis, either financial or emotional? Families who encounter crisis and then find themselves overwhelmed are often unable to deal effectively with their problems. We offer information and referral to other agencies.
FIGHTING HUNGER
The Jewish community is determined that no one will go hungry! The Hamilton Jewish Family Services Kosher Food Bank helps families and individuals that are experiencing severe financial problems – both long and short-term. The Food Bank provides healthy kosher food food to individuals and families in need, including: kosher frozen chickens, ground beef, as well as a full range of canned and dry goods. An interview is required to determine eligibility. Our goal is to help everyone remain a part of the community in the Hamilton area.

SERVICES TO NEW COMERS
Are you new in the community? Hamilton Jewish Family Services provides you with up-to-date information about the Jewish and general community in the Hamilton-Wentworth area. JSS has a long history in the resettlement and integration of immigrants from all over the world.
FINANCIAL AID TO ELIGIBLE HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS
We are part of a worldwide organization that works with the Conference for material claims against Germany. Hamilton Jewish Family Services helps survivors who are financially eligible for compensation from the German Claims Conference. Help is offered by way of home care and emergency financial aid. Proof of war history, persecution and income tax returns are necessary for this application to meet strict guidelines.

DEALING WITH AGING PARENTS
Where can you turn to deal with struggles associated with aging parents? Hamilton Jewish Family Services offers a wide range of services to help settle and accommodate parents in the most appropriate living situation. We also offer referral services, for finding domestic help.
